A fresh tweet from Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Chairman and Group CEO, further clarifies the company’s intention for the EV car market. He shared an electric car concept image with a statement, “Can you guys keep a secret?”.

All-New Platform
The upcoming EV from the Bengaluru-based startup is reported to be designed on an all-new born-electric skateboard platform. The architecture has been especially developed to accommodate batteries, electric motors and other electronic components.
Futuristic Design
The Ola electric car will carry a futuristic design language. The concept features sleek LED headlamps, sloppy windshield and sporty alloy wheels. It misses out on the front grille (similar to the conventional EVs) and door handles.

Limited Range
As of now, there is no information on its powertrain. The upcoming Ola electric car could be a hatchback or a compact SUV offering limited range. It will come as a practical day-to-day EV option for buyers. It might come with home chargers.

Global Design Centre
Ola electric is planning to establish a Global Design Centre in Bengaluru for its future electric four-wheelers. The car design plant will have facilities such as clay modeling, finish lab, materials and colours.
Ola Hypercharger Network
At present, the company is working to expand its charging network across the country. It will setup Hypercharger network with around 1,00,000 charging points across 400 cities, thus making it the world’s largest EV charging network. Ola has its own manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu with an installation capacity of 10 million electric scooters on annual basis.
