Nissan India is betting big on its upcoming Magnite subcompact SUV that will take directly on the Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue. The model recently made its world debut and is likely to see a release during this festive season (possibly next month). While its official prices will be announced in near future, it’s estimated to cost as low as Rs 6.50 lakh. The all-new Nissan Magnite has been packed with several segment-first features and advanced technology.

One of its highlights is the Around View Monitor (AVM) that will provide a virtual “bird’s eye view (toggle between rear view) from above the vehicle. Its right-hand camera will ease parallel and perpendicular parking. The Magnite comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and built-in voice recognition. The model has also been equipped with Nissan Connect technology offering over 50 features right from geo fence to smart watch connectivity.

Nissan claims that the Magnite offers best-in-class knee room, shoulder room in the front row and visibility. One the safety front, the new compact SUV offers vehicle dynamic control, hill start assist, traction control, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), SRS dual airbags and anti-roll bar for tight cornering at high speeds.
