Nissan India has officially announced to grab over 72,000 pre-bookings for the new Magnite sub-4 meter SUV. Adding to it, the company has delivered 30,000 Magnite’s since its launch in last 2020.
Mr Guillaume Cartier, Nissan AMIEO Chairperson, for Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania region in his visit to India, handed over the keys of the 30,000th Nissan Magnite to the customer in a ceremony at a Dealership in Gurgaon.
Mr Guillaume Cartier said “I am pleased to handover the Nissan Global President Award to the Nissan India Operations for the successful launch of Nissan Magnite under the Nissan NEXT transformation plan. With this car we wanted to shake up the highly competitive compact SUV segment in India. The Nissan Magnite symbolizes Nissan’s commitment to driving innovation in India through daring design, technology and world class Indian manufacturing.”
Nissan Magnite is offered in 5 trim levels – XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O). The Nissan Magnite is available with two petrol engines – a 1.0-litre NA petrol and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. While the former is good for 72bhp and 91Nm of torque, the turbo unit produces 99bhp and 160Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic (1.0L turbo only).
The new model comes with several high-end features like LED bi-projector headlamps with LED DRLs, faux skid plates, electrically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors and 16-inch diamond cut alloys, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with segment-first wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and voice recognition tech.
