Nissan Magnite Prices Increased By Up To Rs 33,000

Nissan had launched the Magnite sub-4 meter SUV in the country in December 2020. The SUV was introduced at an introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakh for base variants and Rs 9.35 lakh for the top-end variant. The prices of the Nissan Magnite have increased again. This is the third price increase the Magnite received since its launch in December 2020.

Nissan had increased the price of the base variant by Rs 50,000 in January during the end of the introductory price period. In the beginning of March 2021, Nissan hiked the prices of turbo variants by up to Rs 30,000. The SUV’s prices have now increased for the third time, and the Magnite is now costlier by up to Rs 33,000.

Nissan has now increased the prices of the non-turbo variants of the Magnite by up to Rs 33,000. The non-turbo variants were available at introductory prices, except for the base XE variant. On the other hand, the Nissan Magnite turbo variants have become costlier by up to Rs 20,000. With latest price hike, the turbo variants are now pricier by up to Rs 50,000 compared to their launch prices.

Nissan is yet to reveal the prices of the top-spec XV Premium (O) variant. This variant comes with Nissan’s connected car tech, which is missing in the XV premium variant. The Nissan Magnite has received an overwhelming response from buyers, as it recorded over 40,000 bookings in just 4-5 months. The SUV commands a waiting period of around 7-8 months in certain cities.

The Nissan Magnite is available with two petrol engines – a 1.0-litre NA petrol and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. While the former is good for 72bhp and 91Nm of torque, the turbo unit produces 99bhp and 160Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic (1.0L turbo only).
