Nissan Magnite NISMO Version Imagined: Looks Sporty

Nissan had introduced the Magnite sub-4 meter SUV in December 2020. The SUV has received an excellent response from buyers, as bookings crossed 30,000 mark in just 1 month. The Nissan Magnite is currently the cheapest in its category, priced between Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 9.45 lakh.

NISMO is the in-house tuning, motorsport and performance division of Nissan. It is known for offering performance oriented front-to-drive SUVs and cars; however, Magnite is not likely to receive NISMO variant in near future. Digital Artist, Kleber Silva has released a new digital rendering which shows the possible design of the Magnite NISMO variant.

The rendering looks rugged and sporty, featuring several aggressive design elements. The front looks aggressive, thanks to more prominent grille without chrome. The grille gets rectangular air-intakes in glossy black finish. NISMO badge is also placed on the grille. Biggest change is made to the lower bumper, which has glossy black finish, faux air-vents and red lining across the width. There is spoiler that has red accents, while the fog lamp assembly is completely different.

The red accents can be seen on the ORVMs, while the alloy wheels look bigger and are finished in glossy black paint. The rear profile also receives significant design changes; however, all the changes are made to the lower bumper. It gets faux air vents, red lining across the windth, all-black bumper and new brake lights.

The Nissan Magnite is based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-A modular platform, which also underpins the Triber and the new Renault Kiger. It is powered by a new 1.0-litre HRA0 turbo petrol engine that churns out 99bhp of power and 160Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual or a Xtronic CVT automatic gearbox. The entry-level variants also get a 1.0L naturally-aspirated engine producing 72bhp and 96Nm of torque.
