Next-Gen Renault Duster 2023 Render Inspired By Bigster

It is no secret that Renault is working on the third generation Duster SUV, which is reportedly to be introduced in 2022. The SUV will first go on sale under the Dacia brand in Europe, while the Renault’s version is expected in 2022-23. The third gen Duster is also expected to be introduced in India, as the design of the SUV has already been patented in our country.

Digital Artist, Kleber Silva has released multiple renderings of the third generation Dacia Duster. The renderings are clearly inspired by the Dacia Bigster concept, which previews the brand’s future 7-seater SUV. The front design looks exactly similar to the Bigster, featuring an aggressive looking full-width grille, and latest version of Dacia’s Y-shaped signature headlight.

It features LED lights, which seems integrated into the grille, and a squared-off front bumper that houses a large central grille with a pair of vertical air intakes.

The side profile looks similar to the Dacia Bigster; however, the rendering misses out on black plastic cladding. Adding to it, the vehicle gets silver-finished roof-rails and silver-finished ORVMs. The SUV gets multi-spoke alloy wheels. At the back, the new rendering has Bigster-like Y-shaped tail-lamps and clean tailgate.

The render of the interior is inspired by the existing Duster; however, the production version of the SUV will receive all-new cabin. It is likely to get a bigger free-standing touchscreen with connectivity options, better quality material and fit & finish, digital instrument console, automatic AC, etc.

The next-gen Duster will be based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B platform that also underpins the new Bigster concept. The alliance had confirmed that the CMF-B platform will be used to make 7 products including two hatchbacks, two sedans and 3 SUVs. The SUV range is likely to include the next-gen Kicks, Duster and the Captur.

The next-gen Renault Duster will be positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and the upcoming SUVs like VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor. The SUV is likely to retain the existing 156PS, 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox.
