We reported earlier that Honda will present the next-gen HR-V for the global markets in the first half of 2021. Adding to it, the next-gen Honda HR-V is rumoured to feature Coupe-SUV profile. A new Honda Coupe-SUV has been spotted testing for the first time, which suggests that this could be the new HR-V.
We informed you earlier that Honda is readying two new SUVs below the next-gen HR-V. The company will introduce a sub-4 meter SUV and an all-new mid-sized SUV. The new mid-sized SUV will measure around 4.2-4.3 meters in length, while the next-gen HR-V will grow in size and is likely to measure around 4.4 meters in length. The company will present multiple options such as the PHEV option and the Coupe version of the HR-V.
The new spy images further confirms that the next-gen Honda HR-V will be bigger, more premium and will have coupe version as well. The spotted model has slanted headlamps, DRL LED on the top side and grille with multiple horizontal slats. Normally, this kind of treatment is not usual with Honda. The Japanese brand commonly opted for clean and elegant design, which is also visible in the current car.
The test car has smaller size wheel with 6-spoke and dual-tone black and white treatment. The ORVMs are placed on the doors, which is similar to the one found in the new The rearview mirror has a handle to the door, which suggest that the SUV could offer the Honda LaneWatch. The rear door handle is placed at the end of the rear window, which is similar to the current HR-V. A shark fin antenna is also visible.
The rear profile is not clearly visible, but it has sloping C-pillar that gives an SUV coupe-styling. There is couple of spy images of the new model parked. This model was equipped with bigger, twin-spoke alloys with 5 bars and a gunmetal finish. The main headlamp unit uses LEDs with a reflector model, which is also common in Hondas.
