Yamaha Motor India has introduced the Aerox 155 scooter in a new Metallic Black colour scheme. Similar to the Grey Vermillion and Racing Blue shade models, the new Yamaha Aerox Metallic Black variant costs Rs 1,29,000. The Monster Energy MotoGP Edition has been priced at Rs 1,30,500. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Aerox 155 is the most powerful scooter in the country. It derives power from a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine boosted with VVA (variable valve actuation) technology and SMG (smart motor generator) system. The motor, paired to a CVT automatic gearbox, returns a claimed power of 18.4bhp and 14.2Nm of torque.
The Yamaha Aerox 155 has underbone design instead of the conventional step-through construction with a flat floorboard. For performing suspension duties, it has a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Its braking system consists of a 230mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake along with the single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The maxi-scooter runs on 14-inch front and rear wheels.
Some of its key features include LED headlamps and taillamp, stop/start feature, a 5.8-inch digital instrument cluster, USB charging sockets and Bluetooth connectivity. It has a kerb weight of 126kg and offers 24.5-litre of under seat storage space.
Recently, the Japanese two-wheeler maker launched the new Yamaha R15S V3 at Rs 1,57,600 (ex-showroom). The model comes with a unibody seat, while rest of its design and features are similar to the regular model. It has been made available in a single Racing Blue colour scheme. The bike has been powered with the same 155cc, liquid-cooled 4V engine pushing out 18.34bhp and 14.1Nm. It has a 6-speed gearbox for performing transmission duties. The bike has been assembled with a Super Wide 140/70-R17 radial rear tyre. The new R15S V3 measures 1990mm in length, 725mm in width and 1135mm in height.
