New TVS Ntorq Variant Teaser Released – What To Expect?

TVS Motor Company has released a teaser of a new variant of the Ntorq 125 scooter. While the company hasn’t yet revealed details of the upcoming model, the teaser shows its silhouette with caption that reads “YOUR NEXT MOVE”. One must note that the ‘XT’ alphabets are highlight in yellow colour. It hints that the upcoming variant could be named – TVS Ntroq XT. The new model is likely to come with a few new features, body graphics and colours.

 We expect that the new TVS Ntorq XT variant will use the same 124.8cc, 3V engine that’s good enough for 9.5bhp and 10.5Nm. It’s most powerful Race XP variant delivers power worth 10.2bhp. Similar to the existing variants, the new one will offer SmartXonnect for Bluetooth connectivity. It will have a fully digital instrument cluster with navigation assist, a parking location assist and caller ID. There will be three display modes – Street, Sport and Ride Stats.

TVS Ntorq XT variant

The TVS Ntorq sits on 1,285mm long wheelbase and has a kerb weight of 116.1kg. Its suspension setup includes a telescopic fork upfront and gas-filled shock absorber at the rear. The scooter comes with a 220mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear. It has been assembled with a 100/80×12 and a 110/80×12 tyre at the front and rear ends respectively. The Ntorq offers a fuel tank capacity of 5.0-litre.

At present, the TVS Ntorq 125 comes in two variants – Drum brake and Disc brake – and three editions – Race Edition, Super Squad Edition and Race XP Edition. Prices of the scooter start from Rs 77,100 and go up to Rs 89,211 (all, ex-showroom). The new TVS Ntorq 125 XT variant is likely to launch in coming days.

In fresh updates, TVS is working on a new retro-style bike that’s rumoured to be named TVS Retron. The two-wheeler maker will also co-develop electric scooters and bikes with BMW and the first model under this partnership is reported to come in next 24 months.
