New TVS Jupiter 125 Launched At 73,400; To Rival Activa 125, Access 125

After launching the new Raider 125, TVS Motor Company has now launched the all-new TVS Jupiter 125 in the Indian market. The new Jupiter 125 is available at a starting price of Rs 73,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new TVS Jupiter 125 scooter directly rivals the Honda Activa 125 and the Suzuki Access 125. It is powered by a new 124.8cc single-cylinder 2-valve engine that produces 8.3PS of power at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 10.5Nm at 4,500rpm. The new model is based on the all-new platform, which is claimed to offer excellent ride quality.

The new TVS Jupiter 125 features a 1,275mm long wheelbase and has a segment-lowest seat height of 765mm. It rides on 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels wrapped in 80/90 section tyres. For braking, the scooter gets 220mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brakes. The suspension mechanism comprise of telescopic front forks and monoshock, 3-step adjustable canister charged at the rear. The scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 5-litres and has a kerb weight of 109kgs.

The new 125cc Jupiter comes with semi-digital instrument console, which shows low fuel indication, side stand indication, Eco/Power model indication, distance to empty, average fuel economy, instant fuel economy, low battery indication, service due indication and helmet reminder. It is offered in 4 colors – White, Dawn Orange, Indiblue and Titanium Grey.

The scooter has all-in-one-lock, which comprise of steering lock, ignition control, fuel fill and seat. The fuel tank is placed on the floor board, which helps TVS engineers to create more underseat storage. It offers a segment-largest underseat storage of 33-litres, which can accommodate two half helmets or standard helmets. The fuel filling cap is positioned in the front behind the apron. It also gets a USB charging system along with some utility space to carry phone or other small things. The seat is 65mm longer than the Jupiter 110, creating more room for both the rider and pillion.
