Japanese automaker, Toyota has launched the new Land Cruiser 300 SUV at the ongoing 2023 Auto Expo. The new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 full-sized SUV is available at a starting price of Rs 2.17 crore (ex-showroom) and the on-road price of the SUV costs around Rs 2.5 crore. It will rival the likes of the Lexus LX and the Range Rover. Not just Land Cruiser, Toyota also showcased different variants of the Innova Hycross MPV and its global models including Corolla Cross FCEV, Mirai, BZ4X electric SUV, Corolla Flex-Fuel and others.
Bookings for new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 were opened at authorised dealerships in August 2022 by paying a token amount of Rs 10 lakh. However, the first batch of the new LC300 is already sold and Toyota is not accepting any new bookings for the SUV. Toyota is giving a 3 year/ 1 lakh km warranty with the SUV.
The new Land Cruiser 300 comes with significantly revised styling; however, the original shape and feel remains identical to the older LC200. The company has made big changes inside the cabin, as it gets an all-new dashboard. In terms of features, the new LC 300 comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support, a 14-speaker KBL audio system, a head-up display and a fingerprint authentication system. Toyota is offering the SUV in five exterior colours and 3 different upholstery options including Black, Beige and dual-tone Red and Black.
The new-gen LC 300 is based on the brand’s new GA-F platform, which retained the body-on-frame structure. It is powered by a 305bhp, 3.3-litre turbo V6 diesel engine paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 6.7 seconds. The SUV has an approach and departure angle of 32 degree and 26.5 degree respectively. It has a ground clearance of 230mm, and the 4×4 drivetrain system comes as standard. It gets a more advanced multi-terrain select system (with Deep, Snow and Auto modes) and a Multi-Terrain Monitor system.
