The all-new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, that had its world premiere in 2021, has finally been showcased for Indian buyers. The model was put up on display at 2023 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. With the generation change, the SUV received a GR Sport and a 70th anniversary edition in select global markets. Official bookings for the new Land Cruiser LC300 have already been commenced in India. Here, the SUV will come as a fully imported unit and it’s expected to cost around Rs 2 crore.
The carmaker has confirmed that it will offer a 3 year/1,00,000 km warranty with the SUV. Globally, the new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is offered with the 409bhp, 3.5L, twin-turbo petrol V6 and a 305bhp, 3.3L diesel engines. Here, the SUV will be made available with diesel engine only. It can do 0 to 100kmph in 6.7 seconds. Transmission duties will be performed by a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
While its approach angle (32) remains unchanged, the departure angle goes up to 26.5 degrees. The SUV has a ground clearance of 230mm. The 4X4 drivetrain system comes as standard. The new Land Cruiser LC300 gets a more advanced Multi-Terrain Select system (that includes Deep Snow and Auto modes) and a Multi-Terrain Monitor system. Buyers will have five colour options to choose from and three upholstery options including Black, Beige and dual-tone Red and Black. It has a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 14-speaker JBL audio system.
The new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 has been designed on the GA-F platform that’s derived from the brand’s TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. It’s a ladder-on-frame chassis with new high strength steel enhancing its stiffness. Compared to its predecessor, the new model is around 200kg lighter.
