The much-anticipated Toyota Glanza 2022 has finally been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 6.39 lakh. The hatchback receives changes in-line with the new Baleno; however, Toyota has made some changes to keep things fresh in the market. Interested buyers can book the new Glanza online or at authorised dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000.
Toyota Glanza 2022 Variant-Wise Prices
The new Glanza is available in 4 trim levels – E, S, G and V – which are similar to the Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants of the new Baleno. The hatchback is offered with manual and AMT variants, and in total of 7 variants. The new Glanza hatchback is priced between Rs 6.39 lakh and Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
For people not in the know, the previous Baleno was offered in two top-spec variants – G and V. The E and S is the new entry-level variants in the Glanza line-up. The E variant is offered in manual avatar, while the S, G and V variants comes with manual & AMT gearboxes.
Powertrain & Mileage
The Toyota Glanza 2022 is powered by a single 1.2-litre dual-jet petrol engine that powers the Baleno. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 89bhp and a peak torque of 113Nm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
Toyota has announced that the new Glanza returns an ARAI certified fuel economy of 22.9kmpl.
Toyota Glanza 2022 Design Changes
While the previous Glanza looks identical to the Baleno, the new model comes with different design to keep things fresh in the market. It comes with all-new front design, which is in-line with Toyota’s global cars. It comes with Camry-like front grille and bumper, new chrome treatment and new L-shaped LED DRLs (daytime running lamp) signatures. The rear comes with slightly revised bumper and new inserts for tail-light. It rides on newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels. It comes in 5 colour options – Red, Blue, Grey, White and Silver.
Toyota Glanza 2022 Interior
The new Glanza hatchback cabin seems identical to the new Baleno. It comes with black and beige interior scheme instead of black and blue offered in the Baleno. In terms of features, the new Glanza is equipped with a new multi-functional leather wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel, an updated instrument console, new horizontal air-con vents on the centre console and automatic AC with rear vents.
It comes with a larger 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation and voice commands. The new comes with a 360-degree camera, a Heads-Up Display (HUD), voice assistant, Find My Car feature and connected car tech with features like remote lock and unlock functions.
The hatchback comes equipped with high-end safety features such as six airbags, cruise control, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), a height adjustable driver seat, ABS with EBD, etc.
