Japanese automaker, Toyota is all set to launch the new Glanza hatchback, a sister model to the Baleno, in the country in the coming weeks. In fact, the new Toyota Glanza hatchback is in final stages of testing. Similar to the current model, the new Glanza will look similar to the new Baleno. However, the vehicle will have slightly different design from the new Baleno.
The new Toyota Glanza hatchback shares the rear bumper, fenders and tailgate with the Baleno. It will come with differently designed alloy wheels, while the tail-lamps will have different inserts. The overall shape of the tail-lights are in-line with the Baleno hatchback.
The new Toyota Glanza is likely to have different front design compared to the new Baleno. It will come with a new front bumper, a differently styled grille and a new headlamps with revised DRL (Daytime Running Light).
The cabin design of the updated Glanza will be similar to the Baleno; however, it is expected to come with different upholstery colours. The overall dashboard design layout will remain the same. It will come with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument console, new switchgears for AC control, rear AC vents and others.
The Toyota Glanza 2022 is likely to be equipped with all the features that are accessible in the new Baleno. It is expected to be packed with heads-up display, a 360 degree camera, six airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), cruise control, new multi-functional steering wheel and others. Similar to the current model, the new Glanza will come with a longer standard warranty.
The 2022 Toyota Glanza hatchback will continue to be offered with a 1.2-litre dual-jet petrol engine that is capable producing 89bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission).
