Official bookings for the new 2022 BMW X4 facelift have been commenced across the nation. Buyers can pre-book the updated model by paying a sum of Rs 50,000. Prices of the SUV will be announced next month (i.e. March 2022). Its deliveries will be made on a first-come-first serve basis.
Unveiled in June 2021, the new X4 comes with improved design, a bunch of new features and advanced technology. The India-spec model is likely to receive the same updates inside and out. Recently, the automaker has released teaser images that confirm the SUV will get the new Black Shadow Edition.
Painted in all-black shade, the model carries blacked-out wheels, exhaust tips and other components. The 2022 BMW X4 Black Shadow Edition will be retailed in limited numbers.
Talking about exterior updates, the SUV’s updated model will feature a bigger kidney grille, newly-designed LED headlamps, new gloss black inserts, slimmer taillamps and prominent exhaust tips. Both front and rear bumpers get sharper creases.
Noticeable changes will also be made inside the cabin. The new X4 facelift will have a bigger 12.35-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system instead of the old 10.25-inch unit. The SUV will also offer a new digital instrument cluster, an updated console, new switchgear for climate control and updated AC vents.
The India-spec 2022 BMW X4 facelift is likely to be offered with the same petrol and diesel engines available on the new X3 model lineup. The latter comes with the 2.0L petrol and 3.0L diesel motors delivering 248bhp with 350Nm and 282bhp with 650Nm respectively. Transmission duties will be done by an 8-speed automatic gearbox. At present, the X4 is available with three engines – 2.0L, 4-cylinder petrol (252bhp), 2.0L, 4-cylinder diesel (190bhp) and 3.0L, 6-cylinder diesel (265bhp).
Price of the new X4 are likely to fall in the range of Rs 60 lakh – Rs 75 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
