New Tata Safari Prices To Be Released On February 22, 2021

Tata has officially announced that the prices of the New Safari will be released on February 22, 2021. The company has also released a teaser video, which confirms the launch date. Interested buyers can pre-book the new Tata Safari online or via authorised Tata Motors’ dealerships in the country by paying a token amount of Rs 30,000.

Tata Motors has already revealed the specifications, interior and other details of the SUV on January 26, 2021. The new Tata Safari is basically the 7-seater version of the Harrier, which was first showcased the Gravitas at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is 63mm longer, 72mm wider and 80mm taller; however, the wheelbase remains the same at 2,741mm. It is 4,661mm long, 1,894mm wide and 1,786mm tall.

Tata Safari Electric SUV

The new Tata Safari is available in 6-and 7-seat layouts with former getting captain seats for the second row. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 170bhp and a peak torque of 350Nm. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

It is offered in the front-wheel-drive setup only; however, all-wheel-drive system could be offered at a later stage on demand. The new Tata Safari will come in 6 variants – XE, XM, XT, XT+ and XZ+. It is equipped with an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

Tata Safari Interior

The new Tata Safari comes equipped with features like panoramic sunroof, disc brakes for all wheels, ambient lighting, Xenon HID projector headlamps, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, automatic vehicle hold, terrain modes, automatic AC and leather upholstery. The SUV’s safety features are ABS with EBD, cornering stability control, off-road ABS, traction control, ESC, hill hold control, hill descent control, roll-over mitigation, dynamic wheel torque by brake, EDTC (Engine Drag Torque Control), EBP (Electronic Brake Pre-fill), HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist) and HFC (Hydraulic Fading Compensation).
