New Honda CB350RS Vs CB350 – What’s Different?

Honda CB350RS has finally been launched in India at Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom). The scrambler underpins the same platform that does duty in the Honda H’Ness CB350. In fact, both models share several components and engine. So, what makes them different from each other. Here’re top 4 features that distinguish Honda CB350RS to Honda CB350.

As mentioned above, the CB350RS has been offered at Rs 1.96 lakh. The H’Ness CB350, on other hand, comes in DLX and DLX Pro variants priced at Rs 1.85 lakh and Rs 1.90 lakh respectively. Compared to the standard model, the new scrambler is around Rs 3,000 more expensive.

The new sportier variant features a newly-designed LED headlamp, revised front mudguard and side panel, upswept exhaust and relatively shorter tail section. Its round LED lights and indicators seem to be carried forward from the Hornet 2.0.

The CB350RS has a new flat, single-piece seat with different textures on the rider and pillion side.

Compared to the standard CB350, the new scrambler motorcycle has larger rear wheel and narrower tyre. It gets 100/90-19 section front tyre and 150/70-17 section rear tyres. The regular model comes fitted with 100/90-19 front and 130/70-18 rear tyres.

Features such as instrument cluster, switchgears, Honda Smartphone Voice Control System (HSVCS), an assist and slipper clutch and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) have been carried over from the Honda H’Ness CB350. The braking and suspension mechanism also remains unchanged. Similar to the CB350 DLX Pro, the new sportier variant gets dual-tone coloured fuel tank.

Both models uses a 348.36cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes a top power of 20.8bhp at 5,500rpm and 30Nm of torque at 3,000rpm. The bikes have a 5-speed gearbox for performing transmission duties. The Honda CB350RS has been equipped with the same telescopic fork upfront and twin shock rear suspension units. It gets 310mm and 240mm disc brakes at the front and rear axles with the standard dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
