New Tata Safari Dark Edition Finished In Black Looks Sporty: Rendered

Tata Motors will introduce the much-awaited new Safari SUV on January 26, 2021. Dealers have unofficially started taking pre-bookings for the SUV. The new Tata Safari is basically the 7-seater version of the Harrier. Tata Motors has already introduced the Dark Edition or Black Edition of the Harrier. Here is a new render image that shows the possible look of the Safari Dark Edition.

The overall design of the Safari remains the same; however, the digital artist has added black treatment all around the body. While the Harrier Dark Edition has black colour on every part, Safari Dark Edition retains the chrome treatment. There is a chrome underline that runs across the width. It gets a chromed grille at the front with tri-arrow inserts, silver skid plate and chrome door handles. Adding to it, the render has chrome beading on window line and silver finished Safari name on the roof rail.

The Safari is finished in black colour, which has black colour alloy wheels. The render retains the chrome treatment; however, Tata Motors could introduce the Safari Dark Edition with all-black theme and no chrome enhancements.

The new Safari is 63mm longer, 72mm wider and 80mm taller than the Harrier.  The SUV will have a ground clearance of 200mm. The increase in dimensions will help Tata Motors to accommodate third row. It will be made available in 4 variants – XE, XM, XT and XZ. The new Safari will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that also powers the Harrier. This engine churns out 170bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The new Tata Safari also comes with factory-fitted Panoramic sunroof, all-4 disc brakes, iRA connected car features using Airtel & BSNL e-sims, Xenon HID projector headlamps, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, automatic vehicle hold (AVH), etc. The SUV also gets high-end safety features such as cornering stability control, off-road ABS, traction control, Electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold control, hill descent control, roll-oover mitigation, dynamic wheel torque by brake, EDTC (Engine Drag Torque Control), EBP (Electronic Brake Pre-fill), HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist) and HFC (Hydraulic Fading Compensation).
