Engine Specifications

At the heart of the 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan lies its standout feature – a new 451.65cc liquid-cooled engine, a first for the brand, aptly named Sherpa 450. This single-cylinder powerhouse claims a robust power output of 40bhp at 8,000rpm and a torque of 40Nm at 5,500rpm. Managing the transmission is a 6-speed unit equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch. Notably, this model marks the introduction of three distinct riding modes – Eco, Performance (with rear ABS engaged), and Performance (with rear ABS disengaged). With a substantial ground clearance of 230mm and a wheel travel of 200mm at both ends, the bike rides on 21/17-inch wire-spoke rims fitted with custom tubed CEAT tires – 90/90-21 at the front and 140/80-R17 at the rear.

Brakes and Dimensions

Positioned for adventure, the 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan features a standard seat height ranging from 825mm to 845mm, reducible to 805mm-825mm with a lower seat. The bike accommodates a 17-liter fuel tank and relies on a single 320mm front disc and a 270mm rear disc from ByBre for effective braking, complemented by standard dual-channel ABS.

Diversifying its aesthetic appeal, the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 offers three distinct color options corresponding to each variant. The base variant flaunts the Kaza Brown paint scheme, while the Pass variant presents itself in Slate Poppy Blue and Slate Himalayan Slat shades.
