New Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 – Launch Timeline & Key Details

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is one of its upcoming motorcycles planned for this year. The Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer recently registered the “Guerrilla 450” nameplate in India, which is likely to be the name for the brand’s second product based on the 452cc platform. Its official logo has also been leaked online, giving a hint of what’s to come.

In the 400cc bike segment, this new roadster will compete with the Hero Mavrick 440, Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, and KTM 390 Duke. While official launch details are yet to be announced, the Guerrilla 450 is expected to be launched by mid-2024. The anticipated starting price for this model is around Rs 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom).

Spy images have shown that the new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will carry typical roadster design elements, including a round headlight, a teardrop-shaped tank, and telescopic forks with gaiters. Its taillight, featuring an integrated brake light and turn indicators, and its exhaust are borrowed from the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Additionally, the footpegs and wide handlebar will be inspired by the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, giving the bike an upright riding position.

The suspension setup will include conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock rear setup. The bike will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels with road-biased tires. Power will be derived from a 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine—the same unit used in the RE Himalayan 450—capable of delivering peak power of 40.02PS and 40Nm of torque.

Details about the upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 are limited, but it’s likely that the roadster will feature a round 5-inch color TFT display similar to the one in the Himalayan 450. This display will offer full Google Maps navigation and smartphone connectivity. As the launch approaches, more information about features, specifications, and pricing is expected to become available.
