New Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler Spied Undisguised

Royal Enfield has recently introduced the new Super Meteor 650 cruiser motorcycle in India. Adding to it, the company has updated the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 with new colours and alloy wheels. RE is working on multiple new motorcycles including the Scrambler 650, Himalayan 450 and the new Bullet 350, which will be launched in the next 1 year.

Ahead of the official debut, the new Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler motorcycle has been spotted without any covers. The clear pictures reveal that the motorcycle looks similar to the Interceptor 650. It has some new parts, which seems shared with the upcoming Himalayan 450. It comes with a retro-styled round-shaped headlight, rear view mirrors, tail-light and turn indicators.

The new Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler has teardrop-shaped fuel tank with knee recesses, which gives it a sporty look. The LED headlight is sourced from the Super Meteor 650. Also visible is a small flyscreen and a headlight grille, which could be offered as an optional accessories. Behind the windscreen is a single pod instrument console.

The motorcycle will be powered by a 648cc, air-/oil-cooled, parallel twin engine that produces 47.5PS of power and 52Nm of torque. The motorcycle will get a two-in-one exhaust setup. It will have an inverted front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, the Scrambler will have disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS as standard.

The spotted model was equipped with wire-spoked units, which are likely to be wrapped in the basic tube type. The company could also offer the tubeless spoke rims. The motorcycle is likely to get bigger front and smaller rear wheel.
