The 79th edition of the premier motorcycle expo – EICMA – is all set to begin on 8th November in Milan, Italy. The two-wheeler event will witness unveiling and launches for multiple new motorcycles across different segments. The much-anticipated Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will also make its global debut at the EICMA 2022. Ahead of its official unveiling, the company has dropped a couple of its teasers revealing its rear design and variant details.
Speculations are on rife that the Chennai-based bikemaker might also showcase a new 650cc Scrambler concept at the event. A test mule of the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 was recently caught testing in India. The bike features the same 648cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine that powers the RE 650 twins. The FI motor, with a 6-speed gearbox, pushes out a peak power of 47PS and 52Nm of torque. The prototype of the Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler has the conventional, upside-down triangle shaped side panel as we have seen in the RE Interceptor 650.
Upfront, the Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler features a small flyscreen that’s likely to be offered as an accessory. It could be the brand’s first 650cc bike to come with the 2-into-1 exhaust system. The front of the light has a section painted in red that hints the company might offer auxiliary lights as a part of its official accessory for the very first time. The model has been assembled with the wire-spoke alloy wheels with front tyre bigger than the rear one. The new RE Scrambler 650 will have the conventional upside down front fork suspension unit.
Braking power will come from the front and rear disc brakes along with the dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). Some of its key features will include a semi-digital instrument cluster, tripper navigation system, slipper clutch with assist and more.
