Buoyed by the positive response for S1 electric scooter, OLA electric is now planning to add new variants to the S1 e-scooter line-up. OLA Electric CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, has shared a teaser image that shows a new variant of the S1 electric scooter.
The new e-scooter will join the S1 Pro and S1 Air. The teaser image shows a mystery variant that has a small windscreen. The teaser also confirms that the new electric scooter will be introduced in July 2023. This could be a retro themed variant of the S1 e-scooter with some accessories. It is likely to come with a windshield, cushioned backrest, a centre stand and new colours.
There are no details about the new variant of the scooter. Details are likely to arrive as the launch nears in July 2023. Due to revised FAME 2 subsidies, Ola has increased the prices of the scooters by up to Rs 15,000. The company has recently introduced a more affordable version of the S1 Pro, called the S1 Air. Deliveries for the new S1 Air variant will begin in July 2023.
The Ola S1 Air is fitted with a 3 kWh battery pack and has a maximum range of 125km. The scooter features a 4.5 kWh electric motor. It is claimed to achieve a top speed of 85 km/h.
