New Mahindra Born Electric SUVs – Advanced Connectivity Features Teased

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced to unveil the new generation of electric SUVs on August 15, 2022, in Oxfordshire UK. The company will showcase up to five electric vehicles under its Born Electric Vision (BEV) programme. Mahindra has already teased all five electric concept SUVs. Ahead of the official debut, the homegrown automaker has shared new teasers revealing several information.

The teaser reveals that the Mahindra Born Electric Vision (BEV) will come with advanced connectivity features. The new connectivity features will allow you to control a host of in-car functions such as seat adjustment, music preference settings, climate control and ambient lighting, and others. It is expected that the new models will come with multi-zone auto climate control or dual climate control.

The teaser also reveals the flat board architecture and fast charging system of the new model. The company hasn’t revealed anything about the products to be unveiled on the August 15, 2022. The previous teasers reveal that the concept vehicles will be SUVs or Coupe SUVs. The new models will include a coupe SUV, compact SUVs, a mid-sized SUV (XUV700 size) and a fastback-like model.

Mahindra has announced to launch 5 new electric SUVs in the country in the next 5 years. The company will launch 4 brand new born electric models and an all-new XUV400 electric SUV. The new Mahindra XUV400 electric vehicle is scheduled to make global debut in September 2022, while the launch could take place before the end of this financial year.

The new born electric SUVs will take shape at its engineering and R&D centre at Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai. Mahindra is recruiting about 900 engineers to build EV capabilities and design and develop new electric vehicles at its MRV centre. It is reported that the Coupe version will preview the brand’s future XUV900 SUV Coupe. Mahindra has recently received an investment of Rs 1,925 crores from the British International Investment (BII) – the UK’s development finance institution. This fund will be used for developing and marketing a global electric SUV portfolio with advanced technologies.
