New Isuzu MU-X 2021 Debuts In Thailand – India Bound!

Japanese automaker, Isuzu has finally launched the new-generation Isuzu MU-X 2021 in Thailand. The new model comes with significant design changes, bigger dimensions, new interior along with new engine options.

The Isuzu MU-X 2021 is longer, wider and taller than the previous model. In terms of proportions, the new model is 4,850mm long, 1,870mm wide and 1,875mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,855mm. The SUV offers a ground clearance of 285mm.

The new generation MU-X comes with all-new front fascia, which is dominated by a large chrome grille. The SUV gets two horizontal slat grille surrounded by a thick chrome bar. ISUZU branding is positioned on the top of the chrome bar. The SUV gets slim headlamp clusters and sculpted bonnet. It comes equipped with bi-LED headlamps in arrow shape, and new bumper that accommodates new LED fog lamps. The Isuzu MU-X 2021 also gets flared wheel arches, and newly styled rear with new tail-lights. The SUV features newly styled bumper with integrated reflectors.

The new model comes with a dual-tone interior. It is equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is a new 4.2-inch MID (Multi-Information Display). The new-gen MU-X gets high-end comfort and convenience features like dual-zone climate control, 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, Terrain Command Shift-on-Fly, etc. The SUV also gets automatic hight beam, 6 airbags and adaptive cruise control.

The new model also comes fitted with ADAS (Advance Driver Assistant System) System. For ADAS system, the SUV has dual front cameras, 3D imaging Stereo Camera with 2 radar and 8 sensors around the car. It also gets remote control electric tailgate opening-closing system with Jam Protection system.

Isuzu MU-X 2021 Interior

The 2021 Isuzu MU-X is available with two engine options – a 1.9-litre turbo-diesel and a 3.0-litre diesel. The 1.9L engine is capable of producing 148bhp of power at 3,600rpm and a peak torque of 350Nm at 1,800-2,600rpm. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. On the other hand, the 3.0L diesel engine pushes out 187bhp of power at 3,600rpm and a peak torque of 450Nm at 1,600-2,600rpm. Power is transmitted to all wheels via a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
