New Hyundai Creta Facelift – When It’s Coming? What’s New?

Hyundai Motor India is gearing up to foray into the micro SUV segment that’s currently ruled by the Tata Punch. Called the Hyundai Exter, the model will go on sale in coming months. After it, the major product launch from the South Korean automaker will be the updated Hyundai Creta. The midsize SUV was earlier planned to hit showrooms in 2023, but its launch is reported to pushed to 2024 (possibly in the first half of the year). The new Hyundai Creta facelift will come with noticeable cosmetic changes and feature upgrades.

The Creta facelift has a heavily updated front fascia featuring Hyundai’s new parametric grille stretching across its entire width. Its headlamp clusters appear more rectangular than before and positioned slightly on the bumper. The rear section shares resemblance to its Russia-spec model with sharper taillamps and revised boot lid and bumper. The taillamp clusters, which are connected via plastic panel, have two vertical creases on each side.

Speculations are on rife that the new Hyundai Creta facelift will get Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It offers safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance and rear cross traffic collision avoidance. The ADAS suite could be offered exclusively on the higher trim. The new Creta will also get a 10.15-inch digital instrument cluster (sourced from the Alcazar) and updated Hyundai BlueLink connected car tech.

In India, the SUV will receive the new 1.5L turbo petrol engine that meets the RDE norms. The gasoline unit that comes paired with the mild hybrid tech, makes a top power of 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. With new turbocharged petrol engine, the new Hyundai Creta facelift will become the most powerful SUV in its segment.

Official launch timeline and details of the new 2024 Hyundai Creta will be revealed in near future. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
