New 2024 Hyundai Creta Launch In Feb; Production Start In Jan

The upcoming 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated car launches of the next year. Production of the revamped SUV is slated to commence in mid-January at Hyundai’s Chennai-based facility, with its market launch expected towards the end of February 2024. Spy images and videos of the new Creta have provided valuable insights into its design changes and feature upgrades.

Safety takes center stage, as Hyundai plans to equip the new Creta facelift with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology. This safety suite will offer features such as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, lane following assist, blind-spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, and leading vehicle departure alert.

The SUV will also incorporate a 360-degree camera while retaining its existing set of features. Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology will receive updates with additional features, including stolen vehicle immobilization, valet parking mode, and stolen vehicle tracking. Speculations suggest that the 2023 Hyundai Creta might receive a new touchscreen infotainment system and a high-definition digital instrument cluster. Design changes for the India-spec Hyundai Creta facelift will draw inspiration from the globally-sold Palisade SUV. Up front, the vertically-placed headlamps will feature a split setup with LED DRLs borrowed from the Palisade. The front grille with cube-like details will also be reminiscent of its larger sibling.

The new 2024 Hyundai Creta will be powered by the Verna’s 1.5L turbo petrol engine, delivering 160bhp. The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engines will also be retained, both offering a claimed power output of 115bhp. Multiple manual and automatic gearbox options will be available for the new Creta.

Hyundai has further expanded its plans by announcing an electric version of the Hyundai Creta, set to debut in early 2025. With this move, the Creta EV will enter the electric SUV market and compete against offerings from Maruti Suzuki and Tata, who are also planning to launch their own electric SUVs in the near future.
