Honda 2Wheelers has rolled out the Activa H-Smart scooter in the country. The model has been offered in a single variant priced at Rs 80,537 (ex-showroom). The company has also introduced the updated Honda Activa 6G that comes in two variants – Standard and DLX – priced at Rs 74,536 and Rs 77,036 respectively. Both variants get expensive by Rs 1,177.
Honda has revealed that the Honda Activa H-Smart will enter into production by the end of this week and its deliveries will begin towards the end of January 2023.
The new Honda Activa H-Smart has been equipped with an electronic key fob/Smart key instead of the regular physical key. It offers features such as SmartFind, SmartStart, SmartUnlock and SmartSafe. The SmartFind feature enables to locate the scooter by flashing all four indicators at the press of a button on the smart key. One must note that this feature works within a range of 10 metres. With the SmartStart, one can start the scooter’s engine with a press of a button. It works within two metres of the vehicle.
The SmartUnlock allows to unlock the handlebar, underseat storage unit and fuel filler cap. It’s also works within a radius of two metres form the vehicle. The SmartSafe feature is essentially an anti-theft function that allows you to shut off the keyless functionality of the fob.
What further differentiate it from the regular Activa 6G are the alloy wheels. The Honda Activa H-Smart can be had in six different colours, namely, Pearl Precious White, Decent Blue, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Black and Pearl Siren Blue.
In other updates, the Japanese two-wheeler maker is reportedly working a new 100cc bike to challenge the Hero Splendor. The bike will have a smaller capacity engine and offer high mileage. It will be an affordable commuter that might debut in coming months.
