New Hero Super Splendor 125 Variant Coming Soon – What To Expect?

Hero MotoCorp will soon expand its top-selling commuter motorcycle model lineup – Splendor – with a new variant. The company has released a teaser video confirming imminent launch of the new Hero Super Splendor 125 model. The video states “It’s Bold. It’s Black”. The model is said to offer “Super Power, Super Mileage, Super Comfort, Super Style. While the two-wheeler hasn’t yet revealed design details of the Splendor’s new model, it’s likely to have all-black colour scheme. Most of the updates are likely to be cosmetic.

The new Hero Super Splendor 125 will source its power from the same 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that’s good enough for 10.7bhp and 10.6Nm. It has a 4-speed gearbox. The bike’s suspension setup will include the conventional telescopic front forks and five-step adjustable rear springs. For braking duties, the new Super Splendor 125 will use the front and rear drum brakes. It will also be offered with the optional front disc brake. There will also be the CBS (Combined braking system) on offer.

In other updates, Hero MotoCorp is also testing a new scooter that’s reported to arrive during 2022 festive season. The test mule, which was covered in Black and White camouflage, features LED headlamp, LED DRL, an X-shaped LED taillamps, halogen turn indicators and an external fuel filler cap. The model has a new instrument console with rectangular fully-digital LCD panel. Rumour has it that the upcoming Hero scooter will use a 125cc engine benefited with Hero’s i3S technology and start/stop feature.

During this year’s Diwali season, the home-grown two-wheeler maker will introduce its first electric scooter under its new VIDA brand. The new Hero electric scooter will be produced at the company’s green manufacturing plant in Chittoor. Deliveries might begin towards the end of this year. Once launched, the Hero e-scooter will take on the new Ather 450X, Ola S1, Bajaj e-Chetak and Simple One.
