Japanese automaker, Honda has started testing the new-gen Honda Civic. For the first time, the log files of the new Civic have been leaked on the web. The new model is scheduled to be unveiled in the second quarter of 2021. The leaked images reveal the styling of the Civic Turbo hatchback.
The new-gen Honda Civic will have more square lines, which seems inspired by the new Fit on the front. The grille is slightly smaller, which give more importance to the upper section that connects the two headlamps. The pictures suggest that this part is finished in chrome, while the Fit/Jazz has body colour finish for the bar. The Civic Turbo has thinner, trapezoidal shaped headlamps, and this also removed the angular edges near the wheel housings. The all-new bumper accommodates large air-intake and fog lamp enclosures. On the sides, the new-gen Honda Civic has longer front to achieve more balance. The rear design retains the fastback look with bigger rear overhang. This shows that the new model will grow in size.
At the back, the Civic Turbo receives major changes. There is a trunk lid that connects the two tail-lamps. The company has used boomerang shaped for the tail-lights.
The New-gen Honda Civic Turbo has less bolder and aggressive design than the current model. The new model will be positioned in different segments in different markets. The company has also confirmed that the global markets will also receive the new Civic Si Sedan. The Type R has already been spotted and is rumoured to feature a hybrid engine for the 2.0 turbo to offer around 400bhp.
