New Bolero – Top Selling Mahindra SUV In June, 2020

The new Mahindara Bolero was the top-selling SUV from the home-grown carmaker in June, 2020. The SUV, that received a facelift in late March, registered a total sales of 3,292 units in the previous month. The new Bolero has been made available in three variants – B4, B6 and B6 (O) – packed with a BS6-complint 1.5L mHawk75 diesel engine. While the Mahindra Scorpio secured the second spot with a total sales of 2,574 units, the XUV300 subcompact SUV was the third top-selling Mahindra car with sales of 1,812 units.

Last month, the carmaker managed to sell 231 units of the Mahindra XUV500 and 49 units of the Mahindra KUV100 mini SUV. With cumulative sales of 7,959 units, Mahindra & Mahindra became the fourth largest carmaker in the country. However, the company witnessed a decline of 55% as compared to the sales of June last year.

2020 Mahindra Bolero BS6 Specs

Talking about the new Mahindra Bolero facelift, the model comes with improved styling, a BS6-complaint diesel engine and better safety standards. Its lower-spec B4 variant has been priced at Rs 7.98 lakh, the mid-level BS6 variant costs Rs 8.64 lakh and the fully-loaded BS6 (O) model is available at Rs 8.99 lakh. Most of the cosmetic changes have been on the front fascia. The updated Bolero features a new grille, revised headlamps and redesigned bumper. It also complies with the new crash-test norms that were enforced in late 2019. As mentioned above, the new Mahindra Bolero comes with the BS6-ready 1.5L, 3-cylinder mHawk75 diesel engine hooked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The SUV lineup is available with rear-wheel-drive system.

BS6 Mahindra Bolero Specs

In coming months, Mahindra & Mahindra will bring in the second-generation Thar SUV. The new model will see comprehensive changes inside and out. Though, the major change will come in the form of a new petrol engine and an automatic gearbox. The automatic transmission will be offered on both petrol and diesel models.
