The new BMW X3 SUV has been launched in the country in a diesel variant. The new model is offered in a single X3 xDrive20d Luxury Edition variant and is available at an introductory price of Rs 65.50 lakh. The new diesel variant is locally produced at BMW Group manufacturing facility in Chennai.
The new BMW X3 diesel is powered by a 2.0-litre TwinPower turbo engine, which is claimed to offer power with exemplary effieicny and spontaneous responsiveness even at low engine speeds. This 4-cylinder diesel engine is capable of producing 190bhp of power and 400Nm of torque between 1,750-2,500rpm. It is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 7.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 213kmph.
The new BMW X3 is available multiple metallic colour options – Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, Brooklyn Grey, Sophisto Grey, Black Sapphire and Carbon Black. The new BMW X3 features Sensatec Perforated Upholstery as standard with the following combinations – Canberra Beige and Cognac.
BMW is also offering Service Inclusive and Service Inclusive Plus as an option. These service packages cover Condition Based Service (CBS) and maintenance work with a choice of plans from 3 yrs / 40,000 kms to 10 yrs / 2,00,000 kms and start at INR 1.53 per km.
The BMW xDrive20d Luxury edition is equipped with adaptive LED headlights, re-designed LED tail-lamps and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Insidethe cabin, the SUV has 3-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument console. The infotainment unit comes with the latest generation of BMW’s iDrive connected technology.
