New 2024 Mahindra XUV300 Facelift – What to Expect?

The Mahindra XUV300, initially launched in February 2019, introduced several segment-first features and a powerful diesel engine. While it initially garnered decent sales for the automaker, it struggled to compete against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet. As the Brezza entered its second generation, Venue received a mid-life update, and the Sonet facelift is set to arrive during the 2023 festive season, the XUV300 is still awaiting a significant update. However, Mahindra has commenced testing the XUV300 facelift, which is expected to hit showrooms in early 2024.

Based on multiple spy images and videos, albeit heavily camouflaged, we have gathered some interesting details about the upcoming 2024 Mahindra XUV300 facelift. The test mule sightings suggest that the major changes will be focused on the front and rear sections.

Notably, some design elements will draw inspiration from its larger sibling, the Mahindra XUV700, including the C-shaped LED headlamps. The facelifted version will feature a new two-part front grille and a larger central air intake, providing a refreshed appearance. The side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged, with the addition of new alloy wheels. The subcompact SUV may also receive a redesigned tailgate, revised rear bumper with repositioned license plate, and new taillamp clusters.

The interior of the XUV300 facelift is likely to undergo significant upgrades, although specific details are not yet available. There are discussions suggesting that the 2024 Mahindra XUV300 facelift will come with a newly-designed dashboard and an updated infotainment system. To enhance its value-for-money proposition, the carmaker is expected to offer features such as a digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, and a wireless phone charger.

While the exterior and interior will see substantial improvements, the engine bay is anticipated to retain the same powertrain options. This includes the 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine (offering 110bhp/131bhp) and the 1.5L diesel engine (providing 117bhp). Mahindra might replace the AMT gearbox with a torque converter automatic unit to enhance the driving experience.
