Kia India has introduced updates to the Seltos for the 2023 model year. The midsize SUV features a subtly enhanced design, modern technology, and a new 160bhp 1.5L turbo petrol engine. Bookings for the new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will start from 14th July, while prices will be announced later. Let’s take a closer look at the key details of the new Seltos.
2023 Kia Seltos Engine
The new model of the SUV will be available with three engine options. The 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (115bhp/144Nm) and 1.5L diesel (115bhp/253Nm) engines will be carried over from the previous version, while a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine will be re-introduced.
The new gasoline unit replaces the discontinued 1.4L turbo petrol engine and generates a maximum power of 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. There will be four gearbox options: a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, a 6-speed iMT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. 2023 Kia Seltos ADAS & More
The major upgrade comes in the form of the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite. This advanced safety kit offers 17 active and passive safety features, including adaptive cruise control, intelligent speed limit assist, blind spot collision warning, forward collision avoidance assist, and more.
The addition of a panoramic sunroof enhances its appeal to buyers who have a fascination for large sunroofs. The new Seltos is also the first car in its category to offer dual-zone climate control. It also features a dual screen setup – one for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system.
The centre console has been revised with the thinner AC vents and revised panel for audio controls and HVAC. While the X Line trim comes with a new Sage Green interior theme, the GT Line variants have a new black and white theme.
2023 Kia Seltos – Slightly Revised Looks
The new Seltos facelift showcases significant changes at the front end. It features a newly-designed grille, slightly larger bumper, revised headlamps with new DRLs, and slightly repositioned ‘Ice Cube’ LED fog lamp assembly with body-coloured inserts.
The SUV also comes with a new set of 18-inch, dual-tone alloy wheels, a revised rear bumper, and L-shaped taillamps connected via an LED light bar. The GT Line trim stands out with its sporty red inserts in the front and rear bumpers, as well as dual exhaust tips. Buyers will have eight monotone and two dual-tone colour options including a new Perter Olive shade.
