New 2022 KTM RC390 Images Out – Booking Details, Key Changes

The new 2022 KTM RC390 is ready to hit roads in coming weeks. In fact, its unofficial bookings have already been commenced at a token sum ranging between Rs 1,000 – Rs 10,000. Now, the official images of the production-ready model have been leaked on the web. The bike has witnessed noticeable cosmetic changes and feature upgrades, while its engine is likely to remain unchanged.

Painted in dual-tone Blue and Orange colour, the new KTM RC390 features a single LED headlamp instead of the twin projector units. The new headlight seems to be borrowed from the KTM 390 Duke. The bike gets newly-designed DRLs along with the larger fuel tank and revised riding position. While the handlebars are placed slightly higher, the foot pegs are moved little forward. The pillion seat appears higher than the current model. It has an entirely new fairing with the original double-layer design.

2022 KTM RC390 Features (1)

As mentioned above, the new 2022 KTM RC390 will use the same 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that does duty in the existing model. The motor pushes out a maximum power of 43.5bhp and 36Nm of torque. Though, the bikemaker might equip the bike with the bi-direction quickshifter and lean angle sensitive ABS (anti-lock braking system) and traction control along with the revised silencer.

This time around, the new KTM RC390 will receive the welded-on design chassis instead of a bolt-on sub-frame. No changes are likely to be made its suspension setup. It will continue to feature the USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear with braced alloy swingarm. The braking system, however, will be updated. The bike might also get the new Bluetooth enabled colour TFT instrument console.

New 2022 KTM RC390 Specs

With all aforementioned upgrades, the new RC390 is likely to witness a minor price hike. The existing model is currently available at a starting price of Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom).
