Nahak Motors has announced that its electric bicycles have received an overwhelming response from buyers. The company is currently taking bookings for India’s first 100% Made In India electric bicycles – Garuda and Zippy. Within 1 week, the e-bicycles have received over 1000 bookings. The Nahak Motors Garuda is priced at Rs 31,999, while the Zippy is tagged at Rs 33,499.
The company claims that southern part of India has shown more interest as almost 38% booking has come from there. The E-Cycles have also reportedly received good interest from international consumers. There are close to 100 orders from countries like Germany, United Kingdom and Bangladesh.
Commenting on the response, Dr. Pravat Nahak, Chairman, Nahak Group said, “We have received an overwhelming response to our 100% Made In India electric bicycles. It is very encouraging to have one thousand orders just within a week. We already have business worth more than INR 3 Crore. This establishes the fact that people are looking forward for Made in India products and ready to spend if a company offers good features and value for money.”
“We always knew that Indian consumer is mature enough to book all kinds of products online and the response we have received for our E-Cycles is a testimony of this situation. We expect more pre bookings before we close the booking counter on 11th July,” he added.
Interested buyers can pre-book the new electric bicycles online. Customers can simply logo onto www.nahakmotors.eco, choose the model of their choice, fill the form and make a booking against a payment of Rs 2999. Nahak Motors will share the schedule of dispatching E-Cycles by 13th July to all customers who complete the booking process, and home delivery will start from 15th August 2021.
The two models are equipped with several advanced features such as a removable battery, LCD display and pedal sensor tech. The bicycles battery takes about 3 hours to fully charge, and the charger plugs into regular home power socket. The E-Cycles can run up to 40 kilometers on one full charge and there is no requirement of a driving license to ride these E-Cycles on roads.
