Upcoming Maruti, Tata, Mahindra Cars In Next 2-3 Months

Car manufacturers begun fiscal year 2021-22 with a hope of gradual MoM (month-on-month) recovery. However, the second wave of lockdown disrupted the sales momentum. The auto sales increased by 23% in June 2021, but it’s below the pre-covid month. Now, the carmakers are pinning their hopes on the upcoming Diwali season. Several new cars have been scheduled to launch before and during the 2021 festive season. Here’s a brief on the upcoming new cars from India’s top three automakers – Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra, which are slated to hit roads in the next 2-3 months.

Mahindra Bolero Neo

New Mahindra Bolero Neo Teased

The home-grown carmaker is ready to introduce the updated TUV300 with a new nameplate – Mahindra Bolero Neo. Prices of the compact SUV will be announced on 15th July 2021. The model comes with minor design and feature upgrades along with the BS6-compliant diesel engine. The Bolero Neo will use the 1.5L, 3-cylinder diesel motor making power worth 100bhp and 240Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT.  

Mahindra XUV700

Mahindra XUV700 will be the next big launch from the home-grown carmaker in the country. Its production-ready model is likely to debut towards the end of July and launch might happen on the 75th Independence Day of India. The premium 7-seater SUV will come with the 185bhp, 2.2L turbo diesel and 190bhp, 2.0L petrol engine options, thus making it the most powerful vehicle in its segment. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer. The XUV700 will be equipped with several segment leading features.

New-Gen Maruti Celerio

2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio Launch

Maruti Suzuki is ready to give a generation change to the Celerio hatchback in the month of September 2021. The model will receive significant changes inside and out. It will be offered with the existing 1.0L petrol engine that’s good enough for 67bhp and 90Nm of torque. This time around, the carmaker might also offer the WagonR’s 1.2L petrol motor that delivers power wroth of 83bhp and 113Nm of torque. Similar to the current generation, the new one will come with the 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.

Tata HBX Micro SUV

Tata HBX concept based micro SUV is surely one of the much-awaited new car launches of this year. The model might debut in its production avatar in the coming months, followed by its launch. Most of its design elements are likely to be retained from the concept. The new Tata mini SUV could be offered with 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2L turbocharged petrol engines delivering power around 86bhp and 100bhp respectively. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox.
