Two-wheeler manufacturers in India have released their sales number for the month of October 2022. The recent trend suggests that the Indian two-wheeler industry reported a positive sales growth in festive season. In this article, we bring you sales number of Royal Enfield, Bajaj, TVS, Hero and Honda for the month of October 2022.

Royal Enfield – 84% Sales Growth

Royal Enfield has sold 76,528 motorcycles in domestic market in October 2022 as against 40,511 units in the same month last year. The company has reported an impressive year-on-year sales growth of 84.44 per cent. The company’s latest RE Hunter 350 has received an overwhelming response from buyers. In fact, the brand’s new breed of 350cc motorcycles including Meteor 350, Hunter and Classic 350 are on high demand.

Bajaj Auto – 3.72% Sales Growth

The homegrown two-wheeler maker, Bajaj Auto has reported a year-on-year sales growth of 3.72% in October 2022. The company has recorded domestic sales of over 2.06 lakh units last month as against 1,98,738 units in the corresponding month in 2021. The Pulsar, Platina and CT 100 are the most popular motorcycles from the Pune-based two-wheeler brand.

TVS Motor Company – 7% Sales Growth

The Hosur-based bike maker has been receiving positive demand for its motorcycle and scooter range in the country. The company has reported a domestic dispatch of 2,75,394 units in October 2022 as against 2,58,744 units in the same month last year. In fact, the global investment banking firm UBS has said that TVS is emerging as India’s fastest ICE to EV player. The company plans to launch 5 new electric vehicles in the country in the next 1 year. The brand’s only EV, the TVS iQube has also showcased strong sales growth of 8,103 units in October 2022 as against 395 units in the same month last year.

Hero MotoCorp – -16% Sales Decline

Hero MotoCorp has sold 4,42,825 units in the month of October 2022 as against 5,27,779 units in the same month last year. The company’s year-on-year sales decline by 16 percent. The company’s majority of the sales come from Splendor, and the slower recovery in rural markets has dented its sales. Hero MotoCorp has also entered the EV space with the Vida V1, which is offered in two variants – V1 Plus and V1 Pro – priced at Rs 145000 and Rs 159000 respectively.

Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India – 7.94% Sales Growth

Honda has reported a year-on-year sales growth of 7.94 percent in the month of October 2022. The company has sold 4,25,000 units last month, as against 3,94,645 units in October 2021. In order to improve sales during festive season, HMSI had introduced the Premium edition of the Activa, Dio Sport Edition and Shine Celebration Edition.
