Toyota Kirloskar Motor introduced the updated Fortuner SUV in early January, 2021. The model lineup comes in a total of 7 variants including 2 petrol, 4 diesel and a new Legender trim. Prices of the SUV start from Rs 29.28 lakh for the entry-level 2.7L petrol 4X2 manual variant and go up to Rs 37.58 lakh for the top-end Legender diesel 4X2 automatic model. The 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender is the sportier and more premium variant of the SUV featuring newly-designed grille, bumpers, LED headlamps, LED DRLs, 18-inch machine cut alloys, dual-tone black roof and sequential turn indicators.
While the original Fortuner Legender looks rugged, here we have its modified version sporting a new sporty body kit and larger alloys. The red highlights on new rear and front skirts, blacked out ORVMs with chrome and red highlights and black tinted glass add more to its sportier looks. Upfront, the SUV has a dedicated ‘Legender’ moniker along with the stock LED headlamps, LED DRLs and fog lamp assembly. At the back, the modified Legender carries a fake quad-exhaust system.
The 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender (stock model) features dual-tone seat upholstery, contrast stitches, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charger, hydrographic pattern and smart key case inside the cabin. The fully-loaded variant is exclusively offered with dual-tone Pearl White with Matte Black colour scheme.
In India, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner has been made available with a more powerful 2.8L turbo diesel and 2.7L petrol engine. While the former makes a top power of 201bhp with 500Nm of torque, the latter pushes out a peak power of 164bhp and 245Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
