The 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift has finally been launched in the country. The updated model lineup is spread across 7 variants including the new fully-loaded Fortuner Legender trim. Prices of the petrol variants start at Rs 29.98 lakh and go up to Rs 31.57 lakh, while the diesel models cost between Rs 32.48 lakh – Rs 37.58 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. With the mid-life update, the SUV receives noticeable cosmetic and mechanical changes along with a pack of new features.

More Powerful Engine
One of the biggest changes comes in the form of the more powerful 2.8L turbo diesel engine that’s now tuned for generating power worth 201bhp and 500Nm of torque. Earlier, the same motor was good enough for 177bhp and 450Nm of torque. The 2.7L petrol engine remains unchanged. The gasoline unit continues to push out a peak power of 164bhp and 245Nm of torque. The FWD (four-wheel-drive) drivetrain system is exclusively offered on the Standard trim and not on the new Toyota Fortuner Legender. The latter one comes with 2.8L diesel engine and automatic gearbox combination. The SUV offers three driving modes – Eco, Normal and Sport.
Colour Options
There are 9 colour schemes on offer Super White, Grey Metallic, Pearl White, Silver Metallic, Phantom Brown, Attitude Black, Sparkling Black, Av. Bronze and dual-tone Pearl White with Matte Black (available only on the Legender trim). The SUV comes in three interior themes including Black, Chamois and Black & Maroon (reserved for the Legender trim).

Inside, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift gets a new Smart Playcast 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Improved Styling
On the exterior, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift features a larger front grille, revised front and rear bumpers, newly-designed headlamps with new DRLs and integrated line guide and revised rear taillamps. The Standard model comes fitted with 18-inch super chrome alloy wheels.
New Toyota Fortuner Legender
The new Toyota Fortuner Legender trim looks sportier than the standard model, thanks to its differently styled grille, bumpers, sporty LED headlamps and LED DRLs. It also comes with machine cut 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone black roof, Sequential turn indicator, wireless smartphone charger, contrast stitch on the interiors, ambient lighting, smart key case, dual-tone upholstery, hydrographic pattern and more.
