MINI India has launched a new MINI Paddy Hopkirk Edition as a Completely Built-Up unit (CBU) in the Indian market. Only 15 units of the new special edition MINI are available and interested buyers can book this edition exclusively on shop.mini.in. The MINI Paddy Hopkirk edition is available at a price tag of Rs 41.70 lakh.
The MINI Paddy Hokirk Edition is introduced to pay tribute to Northern Irish rally driver Patrick “Paddy” Hopkirk, which drove the iconic No. 37 Red Mini Cooper S to clinch the first of three victories at the legendary Monte Carlo Rally.
The new Mini Paddy Hopkirk is a modern interpretation of the Classic Red Mini Cooper S driven by Paddy Hopkirk at the Monte Carlo Rally. This special edition features a Chili Red exterior colour with Aspen White Roof, Black Mirror Caps and 16-inch alloy wheels with victory spoke in Black. Piano Black treatment can be seen on the bonnet scoop, door handles, fuel filler cap, waistline finisher, Mini logo front & rear, and kidney grille strut.
The exclusive features for the new Mini Paddy Hopkirk includes the iconic No. 37 sticker in white and No. 37 badging on side scuttles as well as the keycap. The Paddy Hopkirk signature is placed on the illuminated Door sills, the c-pillars and on the Cockpit facia along with a rear sticker in matt black. There is a single bonnet stripe in white with Hopkirk’s signature, which further enhances the exclusivity. It also gets panoram gloass roof, comfort access system, rear view camera and John Cooper Works Sport leather steering wheel.
Powering the new Mini Paddy Hopkirk Edition is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo technology. This engine produces 192bhp of power and 280Nm of peak torque. It accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 6.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 235kmph. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a 7-speed Steptronic sport transmission with double clutch and paddle shifters.
For safety and security, the special edition gets front and passenger airbags, brake assist, dynamic stability control, crash sensor, ABS, cornering brake control and run-flat indicator. It comes equipped with features like auto start/stop function, brake energy recuperation, shift point display and electromechanical power steering, LED interior, ambient lighting, etc.
