MG Hector Plus Entry-Level Style Variants Discontinued

MG Motor India has silently discontinued the entry-level Style variants of the Hector Plus 6-seater SUV. The 6-seater SUV is now available in Smart and Sharp variants. The Style trim was available in the petrol and diesel versions and were priced at Rs 13.49 lakh and Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

Now, the entry-level variant of the MG Hector Plus petrol costs Rs 16.69 lakh. Called the Smart AT, this variant is available with a DCT (Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission). On the other hand, the entry-level Diesel variant is now available at a price tag of Rs 15.69 lakh. The Sharp variant is also offered with a petrol-hybrid powertrain.

The Hector Plus 6-seater is offered with 4 engine-gearbox combinations. It gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 170bhp and 350Nm of torque, and paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The petrol version gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces 143bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic. The Hector Plus also gets a hybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.5L petrol engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system. This powertrain is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. MG Hector Plus Captain Seats

The new Hector Plus is 65mm longer than the 5-seater Hector. The increase in length helps MG engineers to create more space inside the cabin to accommodate third row of seats. It measures 4,720mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,760mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,750mm. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 215/60 section tyres. It comes with captain seats for the second row of seats and have 50:50 split ratio for the third row seats.
