Triumph Trident 660 India Launch In 2021 – Expected Price 7 Lakh

British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph has introduced its entry-level, sport naked motorcycle – the Trident 660. The new entry-level Triumph Trident 660 will be launched in India as a CKD unit in 2021. Expected to be priced around Rs 7 lakh, the upcoming Trident 660 will directly rival the Kawasaki Z650 in India.

The Triumph Trident 660 is powered by a 660cc liquid-cooled, inline 3-cylinder engine that is capable of producing 80bhp of power at 10,250rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm at 6,250rpm. The company claims that it is a completely new engine, featuring 67 new components. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Triumph claims that the 660cc motorcycle has an impressive service interval of 16,000km.

For suspension mechanism, the bike gets a Showa upside down separate function fork at the front and preload-adjustable monoshock at the back. The motorcycle comes equipped with a Nissin two-piston front calliper with twin 310mm discs and a single-piston calliper with 255mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle is based on the Tubular Steel Perimeter Frame. It rides on 17-inch alloys shod with 120/70R17 and 180/55R17 tyres at the front and rear respectively. The bike will get Michelin Road 5 tyres.

The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 189kgs, and has a fuel-tank capacity of 14-litres. The motorcycle rides on 1,407mm wheelbase, and offers a seat height of 805mm. The new Triumph Trident 660 gets the new TFT instrument console, which supports My Triumph connectivity system. This system offers turn-by-turn navigation, GoPro control, and phone and music operations.

The motorcycle gets full LED headlight, integrated rear light and self-cancelling LED indicators. It offers two riding modes – Road and Rain. The motorcycle comes equipped with features like adjustable traction control and ride-by-wire, slip and assist clutch and Triumph Shift Assist (Accessory Fit).

The company is also offering multiple accessories with the new Trident 660 – colour coloured flyscreen, classic bar end mirrors, aluminium bellypan, frame protection, front axle protectors, engine cover protection and tank pad.
