MG Astor SUV – 8 Variants, 3 Engine-Gearbox Combos

MG Astor is one of the much-anticipated new car launches of this year. Its prices and feature details will be officially revealed on 7th October 2021. According to a fresh media report, the SUV model lineup will be spread across eight trims – Style, Super, Smart Std, Smart, Sharp Std, Sharp, Savvy and Savvy Red. The Astor will be the most powerful vehicle in its segment. It will be made available with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.3L turbocharged petrol engines making 110bhp and 140bhp.

While the gasoline motor can be had with either a 5-speed manual or an 8-speed CVT automatic gearbox, the oil burner will come with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission only. Save for the top-end Savvy and Savvy Red trims, the 1.5L petrol-manual combination will be offered across all variants. The entry-level Style trim will miss out on the 1.5L petrol automatic and 1.3L petrol automatic combination.
