Maruti Suzuki has been receiving an unprecedented response for its new breed of SUVs in the Indian market. The company has managed to sell over 50,000 SUVs last month with Brezza being the top-selling Maruti SUV. It is currently the top-selling SUV maker of India, beating the likes of Hyundai and Mahindra.
– In the month of September 2023, Maruti Suzuki Sold 15,001 units of the Brezza compact SUV. The SUV’s YoY sales marginally declined by 2.87%, as it sold 15,445 units in the same month last year. The Brezza’s month-on-month sales increased by good 2.94%. Maruti Suzuki sold 14572 units in August 2023. It is available in a single 1.5-litre NA petrol engine with 5MT and 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox options.

– The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is the second best-selling SUV in the brand’s line-up in the country. The company sold 11,736 units in September 2023 as against 6,967 units in the same month last year. The SUV has reported a Year-on-Year sales growth of 146%; however, its month-on-month sales declined marginally by 0.69%. In August 2023, MSIL sold 11,818 units of the Grand Vitara in the country. The SUV is available with two engine options – a 1.5L NA petrol and a 1.5L 3-cylinder petrol + strong hybrid tech).
– Maruti Suzuki’s second product in the sub-4 meter SUV category, the Fronx has been receiving overwhelming response from car buyers. The company sold 11,455 units of the Fronx crossover in September 2023. The crossover’s month-on-month sales declined by 5.83% with 12,164 units sold in August 2023. The crossover is available with two engine options – a 1.2-litre NA petrol and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol.
– Maruti Suzuki’s popular off-roader, the Jimny has received good response from buyers. MSIL sold 2,651 units of the Jimny lifestyle SUV in September 2023. The SUV’s MoM sales declined by 14.6% with 3,104 units sold in August 2023. It is available with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine with 5MT and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic.
