The Mahindra XUV700 SUV has been in great demand ever since its launch in September 2021. Due to massive bookings and global shortage of semi-conductors, the waiting period of the model shoots up to 20 months (depending on the variant). According to the freshly updated waiting period list, the range-topping AX7 Luxury Pack petrol and diesel variants command waiting period of up to 86-88 weeks. While the AX5 petrol has a waiting period between 25-27 weeks, its diesel versions are being promised to deliver between 50-52 weeks. The AX3 petrol and diesel models can be had in 29-31 and 50-52 weeks respectively. The entry-level MX petrol variant observes a waiting period of 22-24 weeks and its diesel versions has a waiting period between 33-35 weeks.

At present, prices of the Mahindra XUV700 MX, AX3, AX5 and AX7 petrol variants start from Rs 12.95 lakh, Rs 15.02 lakh, Rs 16.05 lakh and Rs 18.63 lakh respectively. The entry-level MX diesel model costs from Rs 13.47 lakh, AX3 diesel is priced from Rs 15.53 lakh and AX5 diesel variants is available at a starting price of Rs 16.67 lakh. The top-end AX7 diesel can be had from Rs 19.25 lakh. One must note that all aforementioned prices are ex-showroom, India.
Mahindra’s 7-seater SUV comes with 2.0L mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engine options, paired with either a manual or automatic gearbox. While the gasoline unit makes a top power of 200bhp with 380Nm, the oil burner returns a claimed power of 115bhp with 360Nm (for the MX variants) and 185bhp with 420 (MT)/450 (AT) (for the AX variants). The XUV700 diesel AX series offers four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom. The AWD (all-wheel drive) system is reserved for the AX7 diesel-automatic variants.
