After the Bolero, the Mahindra XUV700 is the second top-selling SUV of the company in India. Last month (i.e. June 2022), the home-grown automaker managed to sell 6,022 units of the vehicle. Due to the shortage of semiconductors, Mahindra is struggling hard to make on time deliveries.
According to a fresh media report, the automaker has over 1.43 lakh pending orders for its four models – XUV700, Thar, Bolero and XUV300. In fact, the waiting period of the XUV700 is reported to go by 2024 (depending on variant and location). The SUV receives on an average of 9,800 bookings per month.
The Mahindra XUV700 SUV model lineup is being offered in two trims – MX (5-seater only) and AX (5 and 7-seater). The range-topping AX7 automatic variants get optional Luxury pack offering a few additional tech such as a 360 degree camera, wireless phone charger, electrically deployable door handles, an electronic parking brake and blind spot monitor. The petrol engine makes a significant power of 200bhp and 380Nm of torque. The diesel unit, on the other hand, delivers 155bhp with 360Nm on lower MX variants and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450Nm (AT) on AX variants. In order to adjust steering response and performance, the AX diesel models offer four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom.
At present, the Mahindra XUV700 SUV is available within the price range of Rs 13.18 lakh – Rs 24.58 lakh. Prices of the petrol models start from Rs 13.18 lakh and go up to Rs 22.75 lakh. The diesel variants cost between Rs 13.70 lakh – Rs 24.58 lakh. There are 11 automatic variants, which are priced from Rs 16.84 lakh to Rs 24.58 lakh.
