Mahindra had launched the new Scorpio-N in the country on June 27, 2022. At the time of the launch, the company had announced the prices of the manual, rear wheel drive versions of the SUV. The prices of the Mahindra Scorpio N automatic and 4-wheel drive variants will be released on July 21, 2022.
Ahead of the price announcement, details of the Scorpio N AT and 4WD variants have been leaked on the Internet. The new Mahindra Scorpio N petrol automatic version will be offered in 4 variants – Z4 7-Seater, Z8 7-Seater, Z8L 7-Seater and Z8L 6-seater. The Diesel 2WD automatic version will come in 5 variants – Z4 7-Seat, Z6 7-Seat, Z8 7-Seat, Z8L 7-Seat and Z8L 6-Seat.
The Mahindra Scorpio N Diesel 4WD MT is offered in 3 variants – Z4 7-Seater, Z8 7-seater and Z8L 7-seater. On the other hand, the diesel 4WD AT is available in 2 variants – Z8 7-Seat and Z8L 7-Seat.
The new Scorpio N petrol version is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol direct injection, mStallion engine that is capable of producing 200bhp at 5,000rpm and 370Nm of torque between 1,750-3,000 rpm. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
The diesel version is powered by a 2.2-litre MHawk engine that offers two states of tunes. With entry-level variants, this engine offers 130bhp at 3,750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1,500-3,000rpm. With high-spec variants, the engine produces 172.45bhp at 3,500rpm and 370Nm of torque between 1,500-3,000rpm. The torque rises to 400Nm with automatic gearbox.
In terms of proportions, the new Scorpio N is 4,662mm long, 1,917mm wide and 1,857mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,750mm. The automatic version rides on 18-inch alloys, while the manual version gets 17-inch diamond-cut alloys. It is offered in 7 exterior paint schemes – Dazzling Silver, Deep Forest, Grand Canyon, Everest White, Napoli Black, Red Rage and Royal Gold.
