Mahindra XUV700 Unveiled – Official Images, Features, Specs Here

Mahindra XUV700 is finally here. The home-grown automaker has revealed its upcoming premium 7-seater for the Indian market. Prices of the model lineup are scheduled to be announced in late September or early October, 2021. The XUV700 also marks debut of Mahindra’s new logo that will be used specifically for its SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) range. The new ‘Twin Peaks’ logo is the first design made by Pratap Bose – Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer, M&M, for the brand since his appointment. It will be Mahindra’s flagship SUV that’s estimated to cost between Rs 16 lakh – Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV model lineup will be available in MX Series and Adrenox Series. The latter will include three variants – AX3, AX5 and AX7.

Mahindra XUV700 petrol

The automaker has packed the new Mahindra XUV700 with lots of comfort goodies and advanced connectivity and safety fitments. It has several segment-first features to offer including driver drowsiness detection, personalized safety alerts, auto booster headlamps, Alexa voice AI system, Hello AdrenoX voice commands, Sony 3D sound system with 6-speakers and more. The list of features also includes air purifier, ventilated front seats, electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, automatic climate control, electronic parking brake, 4 driving modes, ADAS (advanced driver assist system), Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless smartphone charging etc. The XUV700 will be made available with 5 and 7-seats configurations and the latter will feature a bench-type seat in the middle row.

Mahindra XUV700 features

The upcoming Mahindra XUV700 will be the most powerful SUV in its segment that includes Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. It will come with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol version will be powered by a 2.0L, 4-cylinder mStallion turbocharged motor pushing out power worth 200bhp and 380Nm of torque and the diesel model will use a 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo unit making 155bhp with 360Nm (for the entry-level variants) and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450 (AT) (for higher varaints).

Both engines can be had with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. One must note that the lower-spec diesel variants will be offered with manual gearbox only. The SUV is claimed to do 0 to 60kmph under 5 seconds. It will be available with optional AWD (all-wheel-drive) system) and offer 4 drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom.
