Mahindra XUV700 Prices Might Be Increased With RDE Update

Mahindra XUV700, one of the top-selling SUV from the Pune-based carmaker, will soon receive RDE (Real Driving Emission) update in the country. The RDE norms will come into effect from 1st April 2023. Under the new standards, the carmakers will be bound to test and measure pollutants emitted from the vehicles in the rear world driving conditions. At present, Mahindra’s flagship SUV comes with the 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol and 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel engines. The gasoline unit makes a top power of 200bhp and 380Nm of torque. The oil burner, on the other hand, is available in two states of tune – 155bhp with 360Nm (in the lower variants) and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450Nm (AT) (in the higher variants). The SUV’s diesel version offers four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. It also gets an AWD system.

Both engines will be updated to meet the upcoming RDE norms. With this update, the Mahindra XUV700 might witness a minor price hike. Currently, the SUV is available within the price range of Rs 13.45 lakh – Rs 25.48 lakh (all, ex-showroom). While its petrol variants cost between Rs 13.45 lakh to Rs 23.60 lakh, the diesel models are priced from Rs 13.96 lakh to Rs 25.48 lakh. The model lineup includes 11 automatic variants can be had within the price range of Rs 17.61 lakh – Rs 25.48 lakh.

The Mahindra XUV700 is being offered in two series – MX and AdrenoX (AX). The company also offers multiple optional packages with the SUV that include features such as 360 degree cameras, wireless chargers, blind view monitor, 3D surround sound system and an electronic parking brake.
